Her Bad Mother is brilliant. She has issued a call-to-celebration and I'm all for celebrations so count me in! Her assignment is to share some linky love, which I would love to do.
The first blog I found while searching for pregnancy questions on the web, was Julie's. I was COMPLETELY hooked. I spent a whole day, maybe more devouring her archives and then moved on to Tertia's. I emailed both with questions related to things they had written about. I knew they have hundreds of readers, not to mention busy lives and kids, but I thought it would be cool if one day, within a few weeks, they would have time to email me back. To my surprise and delight, both emailed me back promptly with words of encouragement and support. This was when I realized this was more than entertainment or thoughts on a web page, it was a community.
I care about so many of these interesting women I've never actually met - I sincerely do. I am inspired by their talent, generosity, heart, ability to tell a kick ass ghost story, creativity, questions, suggestions, choices, humor, struggles and triumphs. You give me more than words. I learn from you, the world feels a little smaller and much warm and fuzzier. Any of the strangers I pass in a day could be one of you. I had no idea so many of you were thinking or feeling the same things or totally different things that made me see things in a new light.
I love knowing that each day I can plug in and catch up with you. It's like starting each day and finding a big stack of shiny pretty presents lined up to be opened. I read something every day that not only makes me want to be a better writer, a better friend, a better mom, but helps me to be. It motivates me to give more, write more, be more.
I love knowing there are other great blogs out there I have yet to discover. If you are here for the first time, or have been here before but not commented, pretty-please do so so I can visit you back. The more I have, the more I have to give. Thanks for everything you give me!
I'm honored you'd include me in your Blog Love Fest!!!
Thanks!

I've been a lurker here for a while, but I'd be happy to have some of my own.
It's scary how fast I get lured away from whatever blog I happen to be reading by following follow the links to their favorite sites. I expect I've read my way around the world at least twice a day in the last four months. Makes me dizzy but happy.

Not only am I flattered that you included me in your linky love-making, but I couldn't be happier with the word you applied to me. It made my day. Her Bad Mother should be proud!

I know. Anyone who says you can't make a genuine connection on the Internet hasn't been hanging out here.
Mazel tov on your blog! And thank you so much for the kind shout-out!
