We love snack time

Who doesn't right?

Only I'm not talking about the chocolate covered almonds or the salty potato chips, although I love them both as they say, like a fat kid loves cake- mmmm cake.

I'm talking about the kid's collection created by Barenaked Ladies called Snack Time. I was slightly puzzled when my neighbors gave my oldest a copy when his little brother arrived. I have never been a fan of "children's music" or the Barenaked Ladies so this was a double whammy. Still, they had gone to the trouble of selecting it for him, I thought the least we could do was give it a shot.

I wasn't surprised that my son loved it- I was I surprised that I loved it. LOVED it with a capital L. I love it to this day. I love it enough that I don't even fast forward the songs when they show up on the shuffle list in my iPod. 

Our favorite track is 789 with it's fun call and response chorus (five-six-seven-eight-ten (what about nine?) seven ate nine). We can play anywhere- in the car, at the store when I call out what about nine? I get the response every time. Other big hits are "Eraser" (which my son insists is "Speedracer") and "Food Party".
